During a school project me and my team worked together with Skinn i Sunne (Hides in Sunne) to rebrand and develop their design concept. Skinn i Sunne is a small company that specializes in manufacturing, selling and repairing products made out of hide and leather. The task was to reveal their core story and tell it as clearly as possible through film, website and graphic identity.
We chose to target a new demographic of quality minded, richer, 50+ men and women from the city, a group of people that yearn for genuine craftsmanship but have trouble finding it in the city. By suggesting the new name "Råmyra Skinnhantverk" (derived from the owners' place of residence, "Råmyren") and accentuating the origins, craftsmanship and exclusive nature of the products offered by Katarina we were able to increase the percieved value of the brand and position them for new markets and opportunities.
Seeing our concept became an eye-opener for Skinn i Sunne as to what is possible to do with their brand and, except for the name, they adopted all of it into their day-to-day business.
My main involvement in this project was in planning, shooting and editing the film. I also helped out a great deal with developing the website as well as the photography and some image manipulation.
